Crochet Face Cloths/Dish Cloths - Pattern

I found that scrap of paper!

Here are the two patterns I used to make my Face Cloths in this previous post. I in no way, shape or form claim originality for these patterns, they are just a crocheted square but if you happen to have any yarn that fits the tension of the cotton I used you might find this helpful!

Square 1

Yarn: Moda Vera Birds Nest 100% Cotton (from Spotlight)
Tension: 22st x 30 rows using 3.75mm needle
Hook: 3.75mm

Square:
- Chain 48
- Row 1: skip 3 ch, 2dc in next ch, *sk 1 ch, 2dc in next ch* repeat to end, ch2 and turn
- Row 2: *sk 1 st, 2dc in next st*, repeat to end, ch 2 and turn
- Repeat Row 2 until you have a square

Border:
Instead of breaking the yarn when I had finished the last row, I made a dc into the same space and then continued around the four sides of the square with dc to make a border - putting 3dc into each corner stitch. Before joining back to the first dc with a slip stitch, I made a chain of 12 and then completed the slip stitch which made a little hanging loop.

Square 2

Yarn: Moda Vera Jalap 100% Cotton (from Spotlight)

Tension: 23st x 31 rows using 3.75mm needle
Hook: 3.75mm

Square:
- Chain 48
- Row 1: sk 2 ch, 1dc, *ch 1, sk 1 ch, 1dc* repeat to end, ch 2 and turn
- Row 2: *1dc in ch space of previous row, ch 1*, repeat to end, 1dc in the turning ch space, ch 2 and turn.
- Repeat Row 2 until you have a square

Border:
As square 1.
